We have scoured the Internet waves and sounded the depths looking for best pirate costumes and accessories for you all and think we've done a great job so no need to get us to walk the plank just yet. Now there's been an ongoing argument re buying a fancy dress costume versus hiring but I would always advise to buy for a number of reasons. The only so called advantage of hiring is the price which normally costs around £20 to £30 but with the boom in online fancy dress stores you can pick up brand new, unworn quality fancy dress costumes for around the same price so the only so called advantage has disappeared. the disadvantages are that with hired items you always have the worry of damage and staining and when you normally wear a fancy dress costume let's face it, it's normally to go to a party so the chances of that happening is quite high even if by no fault of your own. How many times have you had drinks spilt over you? No for me the only way to go is to buy, you can go out and enjoy yourself with no reason to worry and not have to get up early the next morning and if you really don't want to keep the fancy dress costume you can always sell it on your favourite auction site. |
